Practice Areas
Grégory Piavent is a member of the firm’s corporate transactions practice and advises international corporate clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations and joint ventures, as well as on banking and structured finance transactions, including securitisation.
He is also a member of the firm’s global compliance, regulatory and investigations practice, advising corporate groups and financial institutions on anti-money laundering, sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption, ESG and sustainability regulation, governance and regulatory licensing.
Professional Experience
Grégory joined Wolff & Partners SCS in 2017, bringing over 25 years’ experience in both private practice and senior in-house roles. Between 2000 and 2007, he practised in the structured finance teams of Magic Circle law firms in Paris and Luxembourg, including a secondment to London, where he advised arrangers and originators on a broad range of securitisation and structured finance transactions. He subsequently held senior in-house positions in the Luxembourg private banking sector, including as Head of Legal and Compliance at a Scandinavian bank and as Deputy Head of Legal at another private bank.
